Weddings
I am happy to play at weddings of any kind, in any church or non-church location. I have played weddings at various churches, outdoors (weather-permitting - violins can be damaged by exposure to winter weather, rain, or extremely high temperatures), in a hotel, and at other wedding venues. If you are looking for a string quartet or other music ensemble, let me know and I can inquire among other musicians in the area to put together an ensemble. (Each member of the ensemble would be paid individually)

I can provide instrumental music for many parts of the Mass such as the prelude, processionals, unity candle, after the communion rite, and asking for intercession from Mary. I can also play instrumental descants with other parts of the Mass which are sung.
Here is a list of some popular instrumental repertoire that I often play for weddings, and links to youtube videos of the pieces to give you an idea of what they sound like. I typically play all of these as solo violin with piano accompaniment, although many of them can also be performed without piano.
Bist Du Bei Mir from the Anna Magdalena Bach Notebook
Panis Angelicus by César Franck
Air in D from suite #3 in D Major by Johann Sebastian Bach
Flower Duet by Leo Delibes

Theme from Allegro from "Autumn" by Vivaldi
Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by Johann Sebastian Bach
Meditation from Thais by Massenet
Ashokan Farewell by Jay Ungar, theme from the Civil War Series documentary
Gavotte by Rameau
Allegro by Fiocco
Vocalise by Rachmaninoff
Adagio from Bach's Sonata in G Minor (solo violin)
Presto from Bach's Sonata in G Minor (solo violin)
Gavotte by Bach (solo violin)
If you have a special request for your wedding, let me know in advance and I may be able to learn it for the event.
Rates:
My rate for weddings at St. Martin of Tours is $150 and includes my arrival an hour before the ceremony for rehearsal and prelude. My rate for weddings at other locations is $200, and additional travel fees may apply depending on location. If your wedding is longer than an hour and a half (not including prelude), additional fees may apply. (I once had an outdoor wedding go for 3 hours with no advanced warning, so I'm being cautious now!)
If additional rehearsals with other musicians are needed, the rate is $50 per rehearsal. I typically do not attend the wedding rehearsal, as this rehearsal is for the wedding party, not the musicians.
